MPhil and PhD students: Applications for the University scholarship funding competition in Chemistry for October 2026 are now closed, but those with other funding sources can apply for the PhD up to May 14th, 2026. MPhil applications for 2026 are now closed. Applications for the October 2027 scholarship funding competition will open in the autumn of 2027.

Courses run by the Centre for Scientific Computing and the Department of Chemistry (with possible MPhil/PhD projects offered in my group in the chemistry department) will also open in September 2024:
- MPhil in Scientific Computing, either stand-alone or as part of the centre for doctoral training (below)
- MPhil in Scientific Computing + PhD in Chemistry in the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Computational Methods for Materials Science
I am also a member of the SynTech Centre for Doctoral Training and can accept PhD students through this route as well, and the Leverhulme Centre for Life in the Universe which offer funded PhD positions and also offer a taught MPhil in Planetary Sciences and Life in the Universe which includes lectures from departments across the University.
